Seuula Ioane, Minister of Education and Culture, as well as other representatives from the Ministry, members of the school committee, parents, students, teachers, and Ambassador of Japan, Keisuke Senta.

Under Japan's Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP), a grant of up to USD 148,151 (approximately WST 399,000) was provided through an agreement signed in August 2024 to reconstruct a single-story classroom building in Samatau Village. This building includes eight classrooms, a library, a staff room, and a principal’s office. With the establishment of this facility, it is expected to provide a safe and proper educational environment and improve the quality of basic education services.

This initiative exemplifies Japan's commitment to contributing to human security and socioeconomic development in Samoa, highlighting the positive outcomes of this cooperation. Japan will continue to provide grassroots-level support to Samoa's economic and social sectors through the GGP.
