Shaking hands with the Head of State
On 9 January 2025, Ambassador Suzuki presented his credentials to the Head of State, Tuimaleali'ifano, at the Head of State's official residence.
 
At the presentation of his credentials, Ambassador Suzuki conveyed the words of the Emperor of Japan to the Head of State. Ambassador also stated that Japan and Samoa have maintained a good and friendly relationship for many years, and that the Government and people of Japan recognize the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of both countries and for the peace, stability and prosperity of the region and the world. Ambassador also stated that, as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, he would do his utmost to further promote relations between the two countries and expand the scope of cooperation between them, and that he believed he would be able to count on the support of the people and government of Samoa in this endeavor.
