[Deadline extended to Friday 18 September] Recruitment of Applicants for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship (Embassy Recommendation)

The Embassy of Japan in the Independent State of Samoa calls for applications by Samoan nationals who wish to study in Japan under the Japanese Government Scholarship Programs for (1) Research, (2) Undergraduate and (3) Specialized Training College Students for 2021. Application guidelines and forms are available at the links below. These hardcopies can be provided by the Emassy of Japan on request.
 

Research Students: Applicants, in principle, must be born on or after 2 April 1986 and be eligible for either a master’s or doctoral course at a Japanese graduate school by the time of enrolment.

Undergraduate Students: Applicants, in principle, must be born on or after 2 April 1996 and be eligible for enrolment in a Japanese university at the time of application.

Specialized Training College Students: Applicants, in principle, must be born on or after 2 April 1996 and be eligible for enrolment in a postsecondary course at a specialized training college at the time of application.

 

Application documents that complete requirements should be submitted by 5:15 pm on Friday 18 September 2020 to the Office of the Embassy of Japan (Level 2, B-Building, SNPF Plaza, Savalalo, Apia).

 

Screened applicants can proceed to written examinations and interviews to be held in late September 2020. Detailed information on the written examinations and interviews will be provided to the screened applicants.
